Smith+Nephew is hiring a Senior Finance Advisor – Shared Costs!

Join our FP&A Centre of Excellence (COE), a global organization established in 2020 to deliver high-quality insights and drive performance management. In this role, you’ll focus on managing Opex costs shared across three Business Units (BUs) in the International region, working closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful financial insights and streamline processes.

What will you be doing?

Analyze monthly Opex financial performance, providing both high-level summaries and detailed analysis.

Develop templates and processes for effective budgeting and forecasting.

Support quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, identifying risks, opportunities, and tracking initiatives.

Coordinate FP&A processes, including monthly financial reviews.

Manage shared cost allocations across BUs during reporting and planning cycles.

Lead and contribute to regional projects, resolving complex issues with innovative solutions.

Drive process improvements, data quality enhancements, and the adoption of digital tools.

Ensure compliance with key controls, including SOX requirements.

What will you need to be successful?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (or progressing towards one) is highly desirable.

Experience: At least 8 years in finance roles, ideally in multinational organizations with a mix of process expertise and business partnering.

Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerBI; experience with PowerQuery is a plus.

Familiarity with TM1, Hyperion, and SAP systems is advantageous.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.

Fluent in English (C1 level).
