Purpose

The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to provide support to multiple projects, funded by the Texas Education Agency (TEA): LASO – Strong Foundations, Texas Reading Academies and Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research (TIER). This candidate will also support additional projects, as determined by the direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

Support LEAs in Texas and beyond with technical support, professional learning and coaching, at the discretion of direct supervisor.

Support LEAs in Texas with Strong Foundations Planning and Implementation Grants from TEA

Support Texas Reading Academies project.

Support Tiered Interventions Using Evidence-Based Research (TIER) project.

Required Qualifications

The position requires proven educational leadership skills and an eagerness to collaborate with a varied group of support providers and LEAs across the state of Texas and beyond. The desired mindset for this position would be a willingness to walk alongside others and engage in a partnership to learn and implement research-based best practices for educators.

The ideal candidate should have:

A Master's Degree.

6-7 years of classroom teaching experience.

At least 5 years working with local education agencies (LEA).

5 years experience facilitation high-quality professional learning for various stakeholders (i.e., teachers, campus leadership, district leadership); including coaching and technical assistance,.

A firm understanding of research based literacy and math instruction for elementary and/or secondary students.

A willingness to become certified as a Research Based Instructional Strategy (RBIS) facilitator in math and/or literacy.

A willingness to become certified as a cohort leader for the Texas Reading Academies.

Deep understanding of the MTSS including both planning and implementation.

Experience supporting emergent bilinguals.

Experience using collaborative technological tools such as Canvas, Teams and Zoom.

Ability to multitask on several initiatives both independently and with colleagues.

Strong facilitation skills; understanding how to plan, prep, and facilitation for adult learners.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

15 years of relevant experience.

ESL certification

Bilingual certification

Administrative certification.

Salary Range

$68,000 - $70,000
