Your role and responsibilities

The Breaker repair Shop Supervisor & FE is responsible for the ABB Service Center at Mesa AZ, facility that mainly conducts breaker inspection and repair. This person develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you are responsible for work that is defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and must have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. This position has a solid line reporting to the West Region Services Manager.The work model for the role is: hybrid (#Li-Hybrid)This role is contributing to the Electrification Service division in Mesa, AZ. You will be mainly accountable for:• Inspect and repair breakers coming to the shop, order parts through the ERP (SAP) needed for the repairs, supervise labor on breaker repair if additional help/technicians are added to the team• Serve as the primary on-site representative to the ABB end customer/user and other ABB field personnel.• Perform duties as the Project Manager for all assigned ABB product lines and assist the customer with technical understanding of the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple types of ABB products.• Provide single point of contact to the customer, customer team, and all other ABB stakeholders and perform duties in Power Delivery, Medium & Low Voltage Electrification, Drive systems, Control Systems, etc.• Assist the factory with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate fleet performance analysis, including marketing intelligence and sales opportunities for services, and support.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s Degree on Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a support or field engineering position).Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field engineering role including a minimum of 3 years of experience performing power systems analysis and a minimum of 1 year of experience in customer support and the development of successful customer relationships.Experience with Breakers, Mid-Voltage Switchgear, Low-Voltage Switchgear, Power Panels & Motor Control Center, Generators & Transformers Maintenance, Automatic Transfer Switches, Electromechanical Repairs, Wiring Diagrams: one-line electrical drawings Blueprints & Schematics,Test Equipment & Instruments, Relay Testing & installation, Instruments; PLC’s & DCS, Parallel Switchgear, Variable Frequency Drives preferredAbility and willingness to travel 50% - 70% of the time mainly within West region and other US locations from time to time.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
