Purpose

Assist and participate in the event planning processes/activities for a research unit.

Responsibilities

Maintain logistical and scheduling details and communicate event planning among all involved, including day-of execution.

Work in collaboration with the CTR team lead, project sponsors, and contract subcontractors to ensure all events are executed efficiently and in a manner that reflects sponsor vision. 

Manage budgets for events. 

Source and manage vendors where appropriate.

Effectively communicates and works within a team to execute goals and solve problems within the unit or between units.

Other duties as needed or assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of experience producing professional-level events. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

Excellent customer service skills. 

Professional demeanor and ability to interface effectively with a wide variety of staff, faculty, donors, and vendors. 

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and resourcefulness. 

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member in a team-oriented environment. 

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. 

Some travel required for site visits and conference attendance.

Familiarity with Texas venues and vendors

More than one year of experience producing professional-level events. 

Salary Range

$58,240 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

Hybrid / Flex working environment.

Periodic travel and periodic weekend availability are required for this position.

May work in all weather conditions. May be required to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
