Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Senior Estimator with 7-10 years of experience. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for estimating. bidding, and the coordination of bid documents.
What you’ll do:
Work collaboratively with engineers, consultants, architects, and contractors to obtain the more comprehensive estimatesSynthesize blueprints, plans, specifications and other bid documents to produce the most comprehensive estimateBuild and maintain a functional database of material cost, labor rates, and material lead timesConduct presentations of cost estimates to stakeholders and provide updates throughout the preconstruction period10 years plus experience estimating on similar projectsBuild schedules to ensure estimating budgets correctly align with the project durationsMaintain a functional knowledge of industry trends and advancementsComputer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and MS ProjectStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood organizational skillsAble to work independently and with othersWhat you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field Working knowledge of estimating softwareFederal, State and local municipality procurement knowledgeAdvanced Project Management or Safety trainingAbility to collaborate and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills#LI-ONSITE
