Job summary – What to expect: 

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Central Engineering and Facilities team as a Senior Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Data Analyst.  We are looking for a suitable candidate that could be based from our UK site in Hamble, Southampton or in Hungary or Liege depending where you are located.   You will be responsible for 8 sites which cover CV European and UK Data.

In this role, you will ensure collection and entry of good data from across the European business that can be validated and used for Scope 1-3  and Employer Producer Responsibilities (EPR) submissions.  You will align and agree data with other groups such as the Americas Cooper Companies, Finance, ESG and Sustainability.  The data and information gained will need to be analysed to help support the local facilities in order to make improvements in operational efficiencies, as well as supporting our sustainability goals.

This role will also review, define, support and manage initiatives in reducing carbon and environmental improvements throughout the organisation.

This is a pivotal position where you can have a real impact by embedding sustainability at the facilities, being a key person in translating core global ESG initiatives into tangible actions and provide information and training locally.  Specifically you will:

Collect data associated with the capture and reporting of Scope 1 & 2 inputs, as well as capture and consolidate data associated with Scope 3 inputs, in a controlled manner to ensure audit readiness and compliance. Collect additional core data that can be used to support positive sustainable changes within the organisation (e.g. water/ waste water/ recycling) Using the data gained, the role shall analyse and review the data and use this information to support and help make operational processes more sustainable e.g., water efficiencies or compressed air improvement. The data shall be from point of origin to input into our ERP systems to uploading into the ESG systems. The position will be to support and review initiatives in reducing carbon such as, reduction of single use plastics or reuse of materials in a production area. Be able to translate data and sustainable ideas into tangible business insights, functioning across all levels of the business.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has a strong passion and track record for the environmental and social improvement. In addition we would like you to have the following: 

Proven track record in Data analytics of complicated numeric and text-based data sets in the environmental and/or social governance Worked with Scope creation is essential Batchelors degree in statistics, mathematics, or an environmental science would be advantageous but not essential if you have the experience At least 3 years working in industrial, Commercial environment with multiple level communications within the organisation.  Detailed understanding assessments used in Scope 1,2,3 and LCA assessments.    The candidate must have a strong statistical and analytical background Must have the ability to translate data and information, to communicate it effectively too senior management and shop floor levels, as a understandable and useable as a business tool to support sustainable improvements. Additional qualifications in data analytics or ESG would be desirable.

 

Travel Requirements: 

This role covers the CooperVision EU facilities and as such approximately 20% to 25% of the time may be spent travelling between countries
