SFS EQ takes an active owner role by providing up to 50% of the required equity of a project or investment over the lifetime (development, construction, operation).

As a member of the EQ Finance team you will work together with highly skilled and motivated professionals with expertise to assess target and portfolio companies, its valuations and its impact on Siemens KPIs to support SFS EQ in achieving high-reaching portfolio goals. The responsibilities of the Finance team include engaging with transaction teams, regional management and other stakeholders:
You will be part of a team to find, develop and structure new investment opportunities in line with our key priorities with the focus on all Finance related topics to structure transactions, internal approval processes, analyze accounting, tax and other operational issues and review legal documents and financial models. Your key responsibility will be the valuation and simulation of business plans and relevant return ambitions.You will be responsible for assessing the financial planning and valuation of complex target and portfolio companies by analyzing, compiling and transforming financial data into Siemens and SFS framework. For this purpose, you will coordinate with international colleagues from Accounting, Tax and Controlling as well as external partners from such companies on all related topics.Co-lead external negotiations with co-sponsors, investee/target companies, suppliers covering all relevant finance related aspects of the transaction (related to the full investment lifecycle; investment, portfolio management, and divestment). Identifying and assessing key risks and opportunities in target and investee companies, including support for due diligence activities, and develop and implement effective mitigants and structures to address identified risks and support to execute portfolio value creation activities to leverage opportunities. Contribute to regular asset monitoring activities covering operational performance of the investee company and its investment performance on shareholder level, including regular fair value assessment or impairment testing.Contribute to regular investment performance reviews including updates to the risk and opportunity profile assessment of the investment reflecting changes in the SFS financial plans as well as reconciliation to original investment ambition to determine and execute adequate portfolio management activities. Together with the SFS EQ FIN team, you will be responsible for the quality of financial statements, accounting treatment of financial instruments as well as financing and funding at project company level. You will help us define, implement, execute, and monitor policies, processes and controls according to Siemens and SFS requirements.Furthermore, you will be responsible for selection and engagement of consultants, including negotiation of services.You act as a role model for the Finance community and bring along a growth mindset paired with support for our core values and integrity.What you need to make real what matters.You have a business administration degree (or similar), a CFA certification is a plus.In addition, you have more than 5 years of professional experience in investment banking / M&A, venture and/or private equity finance with a clear focus on valuations and have credible know-how in accounting (IFRS and HGB), taxation and planning/reporting/analysis activities.You have already been actively involved in M&A and investment processes running transactions in equity and/or debt.You have knowledge of the due diligence environment and valuation of investments as well as experience in one of the core industries of Siemens AG or SFS investments.Furthermore, you have a very good understanding of the financial services industry, capital markets and fund industry.Proven experience of working within an international, matrix environment as well as working with international, virtual teams. In addition to your native language, you are proficient in English. What we offer.2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standardAttractive remuneration packageDevelopment opportunities for both personal and professional growth 30 leave days and a variety of flexible working models that allow time off for yourself and your family Share matching programs to become a shareholder of Siemens AGFind more benefits hereIndividual benefits are adapted to meet local legal regulations, the requirements of different job profiles, locations, and personal preferences.
