Reporting to the Director Environmental Management as the Senior Environmental Specialist you will help ensure our operations are environmentally compliant and sustainable, contributing to our commitment to environmental stewardship. You will assist with all aspects of environmental compliance and sustainability for multiple facilities across the Conagra Brands network. You will partner with plant team members to ensure operations comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including permits and corporate policies. You will work with other plant functions to address issues on all projects to ensure that impacts on the environment are minimized, and sustainability programs are implemented.
You Will:Partner with manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, Conagra policies, and the Environmental Management System to mitigate risks while working with Operations, Planning, Legal, Engineering, and EHS Corporate teams. Develop and deliver training with the Corporate EHS team to ensure employees at our manufacturing sites understand our environmental programs, procedures, and work practices, and ensure that controls are implemented to meet applicable regulations. Analyze environmental data for compliance and trend evaluations. Help with sustainable development activities at the facilities, including partnering with internal peers to develop annual plans to achieve GHG and water usage reductions and waste minimization activities. Provide on-site EHS support to manufacturing facilities during transition periods. Assist the Corporate EHS Team with conducting environmental assessments and assist sites with the development of action plans to address any deficiencies identified. Communicate with all levels of the plant and corporate organization. Manage multiple tasks and projects cross-functionally in support of the corporate environmental strategy. You Have:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field. 5+ years of related experience. Experience managing environmental activities at food processing facilities. Proficiency in both written and verbal conversation, communicating technical information with technical and non-technical audiences in a manufacturing organization. Experience working with teams to coordinate and facilitate with personnel in the department or plant. Experience developing and delivering training. Experience with agricultural land application of wastewater and solids. Ability to travel approximately 60% domestically and internationally. Compensation:
Pay Range:$79,000-$115,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
