Senior Systems Engineer- EntraID

We are looking for a Senior EntraID Engineer to join our team in managing and improving cloud directory and authentication services for 7000+ employees in 80+ offices worldwide. You are a self-starter, love the challenge of solving problems, and are invested in building solutions to help the company scale.
This position is located in Arlington, VA or Richmond, VA and is onsite Monday – Thursday, with the option to work from home on Friday.
Responsibilities
Be a subject matter expert for identity provisioning, security, and governance.
Analyze, design, and support highly complex, enterprise level directory services in a hybrid environment.
Manage and troubleshoot all aspects of Azure EntraID, including federation and infrastructure, including:
Conditional Access Policies
EntraID Connect
Authentication strengths
SSO integrations (SAML, OAuth, and OIDC)
Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
Multi-tenant and directory federation
Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
Identify and implement opportunities for technology, automation, and security enhancements for IAM functions.
Providing technical mentorship to others with less knowledge or experience.
Assisting in technology evaluations and guiding proof of concepts.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not for profit university or college in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years total experience in a technical role such as security, network, systems, or software engineering.
5+ years total experience directly supporting Active Directory and Azure EntraID in a large, multi-forest, hybrid environment.
5+ years of experience engineering IAM solutions in AWS, Azure, or a large scale IdP implementation (Entra ID, Okta, Ping, etc).
2+ years writing PowerShell or Python scripts from scratch.
Ability to get to done-done when troubleshooting issues or engineering solutions.
Able to investigate identity related security incidents with cross a functional team of security engineers.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge of the administration of EntraID and AD Connect in a hybrid-domain environment.
Strong knowledge of modern authentication standards, protocols, and frameworks: LDAP, SAML, OAUTH2, OIDC, FIDO2, Kerberos, SCIM, WS-Federation, JWT.
Strong knowledge of SSO integration for SaaS-based and private applications using Entra AD, Okta, OneLogin or similar products.
Knowledge of IAM governance tools such as SailPoint.
Understanding of Microsoft Sentinel and querying logs using KQL.
Understanding of server virtualization technologies, preferably VMware and/or Microsoft technologies.
Experience automating common operational tasks, web service/API integration, and deployment activities in scripting/programming languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Perl, etc.).
Experience authoring, reviewing, and editing technical documents at an engineering and operational level.
Ability to conduct knowledge transfer sessions to engineering and operations teams.
Able to investigate identity related security incidents with cross a functional team of security engineers.
