The Role and Team The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team is part of corporate IT and is responsible for supporting, developing, managing and enhancing the set of enterprise applications which make up the platform that delivers Medallia's business processes. The group focuses on engagement with the lines of business to evolve and scale solutions to best fit Medallia's business needs. In addition, the group focuses on design, development and deployment of an enterprise decision support system to provide enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities. Our team's Top Priorities include: Optimize Medallia’s business processes Provide an accurate single source of truth for timely decision support Simplify the landscape for support efficiency Design, plan and deliver quality new solutions, cost effectively We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Enterprise Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, a deep understanding of data architecture, and experience in building and maintaining robust data pipelines and models. As the Senior Enterprise Data Architect, they will utilize creativity and innovation to develop new approaches to improve current Business Intelligence solutions, build data structures and models for decision support, and expand into new fields in support of the company strategy. Responsibilities Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Create and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data processing and analysis with a primary focus on GTM Integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets. Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics. Develop and manage Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure data is clean, accurate, and available for use. Optimize and manage databases to ensure high performance and reliability. Create and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics needs. Optimize data processes and systems for performance, efficiency, and scalability. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of data systems, processes, and pipelines. Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information. Collaborate and build effective working relationships across the organization with emphasis on stakeholder management Intelligently interpret business needs to delineate required reporting & analytics requirements for data model creation across multiple business functions Manage data cleansing / transformation Present work with confidence and persuasion and handle questions effectively from both technical and business stakeholders BI Systems administration responsibilities Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role or similar Demonstrated data modeling experience for GTM, and Revenue related data sources Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or Scala 5+ years of experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Preferred Qualifications Data modeling experience for ERP Experience with ad-hoc reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) Snowflake Platform administration / development experience Experience with data transformation tools (e.g. DBT) Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g. Dagster) Program / Project management expertise - consistently delivering projects and tasks on time and to specification Strong understanding and demonstration of the application of data governance principles Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment Strong analytical and organizational skills Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $142,000 - $239,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
