Senior Engineering Manager Governance and Assurance
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Project Governance and Assurance professional to join our team. This key role is designed to enhance business performance, resilience and overall project outcomes through the regional adaption and adherence to Babcock’s Global Project Management Framework (GPMF). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all project plans are in place, up-to-date and aligned with the GPMF. This includes managing the Babcock Lifecycle, overseeing the delivery and governance of Project Alliances, and ensuring that integrated project controls, such as schedule, cost and risk management are accurately measured against the baseline. You will need to possess a deep understanding of key project management and program management practices, provide a significant working knowledge of program and portfolio level tools and techniques and demonstrate the ability to lead, supervise, and develop a high performing team of project professionals. Your expertise in managing key aspects of projects and programs will be essential in establishing and initiating strong governance frameworks.
About you
In this management role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all projects comply with the minimum requirements of the GPMG. You will have significant relationship building skills to have the ability to successfully collaborate with the project management capability development team and provide guidance and support to project managers, directors and other key stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you will bring;
- Extensive relevant experience in a similar environment/business sector
- A relevant tertiary degree in Project Management
- Exposure to Contracting methodologies
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Defence Security Clearance as defined by AGSVA guidelines
