As an Engineering Manager with the Ascentia Analytics Services team you’ll provide leadership, technical guidance, and product vision to a team of software engineers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners in Data Engineering and Data Science to design, develop and support Ascentia and its mission to usher in a new era of game-changing aircraft maintenance efficiency! In this role, you will lead, support, and inspire the engineers on your team while helping them fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and partners across Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to guide the design and delivery of major product improvements. You won’t shy away from performance conversations, and you recognize the relationship between objective feedback and career growth. + Work with the Talent Acquisition & HR teams to interview, onboard, and retain top talent. + Manage vendors, when necessary, to support product development. + Build and maintain effective relations with internal and external customers to ensure success in meeting corporate financial goals and objectives as well as achieving the highest standards in customer excellence. + Undertake other ad-hoc duties/projects assigned by the manager. **Qualifications You Must Have:** + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required. + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. + Software engineering leadership experience with hiring and managing full stack development teams. + Individual contributor engineering experience in Microsoft C#/.Net Framework, HTML, CSS, and Javascript/ES6, plus experience with Typescript and Microsoft SQL. + Experience with system/software architecture design and building web applications. **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and lead efforts spanning multiple stakeholders and the capability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. + Demonstrated ability to represent your team and the work to audiences with differing levels of technical fluency. + Hiring manager experience with the full recruitment lifecycle including attracting, recruiting, and retaining top engineering talent. + Experience with the avionics industry to include cockpit avionics, communication networks, and ground-based services. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
