You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:Lead a team of client engineers supporting Android, iOS and Frontend Web technologies at StravaAdvocate for foundational work that elevates product and business needs for the long-termDrive the strategy for Frameworks and Tools including build systems, design systems, localization systems and platform specific frameworksBuild an inclusive and impactful team culture within your team.Work closely with other engineering leaders on team wide initiatives such as hiring, the intern program and career developmentYou will be successful here by:Engaging in work with an empathetic and business-aligned leadership mindsetWorking closely with internal stakeholders and understanding their needsCoaching the engineers on the team and supporting their career development, at all different levels and career stages.Applying exceptional judgment to challenging situations.Embracing an inclusive, collaborative environment that elevates a diverse set of voices and experiences.We’re excited about you because you:Have experience leading and managing teams of 6+ engineersHave experience working with internal customers and partnering with staff+ engineers to make long term technology decisionsHave expertise in at least one of the client technology stacks: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift) or Web (React, Server Side Rendering and Micro Front Ends)Are able to balance the tension between long term foundational work and incremental improvements to make internal customers’ lives betterHave a track record of improving developer productivity through tooling and architecture strategies
