Senior Engineer - Application Support

Responsibilities:
Provide L1/L2 support, resolving user inquiries and handling production incidents for services and technology platforms, including applications, utilities, batch processes, databases in a cloud-based set-up. Support disaster recovery flips and collaborate with internal teams. Document and maintain support knowledge base. Assist in user access reviews, audit reviews, and IDM reviews. Multitask and manage ongoing issues simultaneously. Collaborate with third parties for the services integrated with FPI platform, when needed, for trouble-shooting efforts. Proactively drives process improvement across application support, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability and performance of production systems. Collaborates cross-functionally with business users, project managers and other engineers to run production issue reports and metrics. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Depending on size and complexity of project, may also be assigned to perform duties of project.Qualifications:
Functional & Technical Skills:
Knowledge in front end and backend software technologies. Experience working on cloud and digital platforms. Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies. Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers, and product owners. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a creative approach to resolving technical issues. Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience. Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment. Experience working for Insurance projects is a plus.Required Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in application support in a cloud environment. Experience with Google Cloud Platform, APIGEE platform, SAS applications. Knowledge of technologies like Java, HTML/CSS, JSON, SQL Server, Python and JavaScript. Knowledge of Agile practices, DevSecOps practices, APIs and microservices. Knowledge & Experience with scalable, resilient, and fault tolerant applications in public/private cloud infrastructures. Understanding of test automation testing tools such as Cypress, Newman Postman, Selenium, etc. Understanding of CI/CD tools like Tekton, Cloudrun, Argo CD and configuration tools like Chef, puppet and Ansible. Experience with enterprise scale monitoring and data tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Nagios, Cloud Watch. Experience with SCM tools like GitHub and build management tools like MAVEN and ANT. Familiarity with visualization and Analytics tools like Grafana, Adobe Analytics. Understanding of Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security; Cloud platforms, Automation (Ideally GCP). Strong communication skills, intelligence, and drive; must be able to work in a self-driven manner within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to collaborate with a global team, manage time zones and shift rotations, and work effectively in a 10/7 production support model. Good understanding and hands-on in JIRA, SharePoint and knowledge of ticketing tools like ServiceNow. Past experience integrating the packaged solution with third parties like Origami/DuckCreek/Guideware preferred.
