We are hiring immediately for Senior Electrical Engineer - a role that will help us to power progress for our customers

Position Summary

Provide specific engineering and technical support through the preparation of project specific designs and supporting technical documentations in Sales bids and Operational projects.

Responsibilities

Carry out on-site engineering reviews, attend site visits and meeting with customers to understand project requirement, analysis of client system lad profiles and electrical plan characteristics to determine sizing of power generation packagesPerform due diligence reviews of electrical installations at both design and operation stages as requiredAnalysis of interpretation of electrical drawings to determine parameters for safe and efficient connection of power package to customers’ electrical distribution systemsCompilation or review of engineering design reports for submission to clients, management and regulatory authorities as requiredDesign of schematic and layout drawings, compilation of electrical and mechanical systems schematic drawings using CADPerform electrical fault level calculations and protection studies for high voltage systemsReview of Cad based schematic and layout drawings with modification as requiredPreparation of Project Design Pack documentation in sales proposals and project contractual documentationAdvise Sales team on specific design issues and propose engineering solutionsAdvise Operations team on the project design details during project mobilization process and on engineering issues during project installation and commission phases.Displays a commitment to Operational Excellence InitiativesAggreko places a strong emphasis on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental protection.  It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and local legislation, and ensure completion and validity of all minimum QHSE training and objectives required by the company.

What we’re looking for

Technical engineering background/qualification, power industry is preferrableElectrical Engineering qualification with minimum of 5 years industry experience in an electrical power systems business. Exposure to power generation, high voltage systems and project management would be highly regardedCertified Practicing Engineer (CPEng) qualification is preferrableStrong Project ManagementStrong computer design skillsStrong interpersonal skills and Customer FocusStrong communication skills, both written and oral.Available to travel on a national and international basis.Team playerDrive for results and Task completion
