Position Summary & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of a team who engage in producing, modifying and upgrading new and legacy production equipment, used for the manufacture of RF products. You will be part of a growing team who thrive on the challenge of producing bespoke equipment and working to high standards. The candidate will already have sound electrical/electronic design experience, and be willing to share with and learn from the existing team and adopting our methodologies. Due to the nature of security requirements, some of these posts will be reserved for sole UK nationals only.
The successful applicants responsibilities would include:
Producing designs for electrical & electronic equipment circuitry
Creating detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD
Interpreting technical manuals and documentation for systems and components
Working with a high attention to detail and accuracy
Working methodically and producing work of a high quality
Provide technical expertise to other team members
Qualifications
Skill, experience or qualifications that will be essential:
Engineering qualifications such as HNC, Degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
Ability to work to deadlines and budgets
Quality checking of own work and others
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience of providing technical advice and decision making
Skill, experience and qualifications that are desirable:
Previous experience of working in a design & manufacturing environment
Experience with designing bespoke machinery and one-off prototype/concept work
Knowledge of other engineering areas; mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
Use of Autodesk PDMC; AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor 3D and others
Working with SCADA systems
Experience of Mitsubishi PLCs and software – GX Works, GX Developer
