About the role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and execution of growth strategy for Reworld Redrop (Wastewater) product line. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the wastewater industry, including treatment technologies, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive product strategy and growth in this critical sector.
Work Location: Morristown, NJ
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office 2 days from home)
Key Responsibilities:
Market Assessment
Understand market size and industry trends.Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and improve existing products.Segmentation and Targeting- Property identify and group of customers by needs and behavior and prioritize segments with more effective commercial results.Customer Value Creation
Customer needs mapping: Engage with municipalities, industrial clients, and regulatory agencies to understand wastewater challenges and requirements.Value Proposition: Create effective value proposition by customer segment that describes the value plan to provide to our customerSegment share map- Reworld position vs competitors by segment.Customer collaboration: Customer workshops to understand customer unmet needs and create solutions to exceed their expectations.Multi Generation Strategy and Portfolio
Portfolio Assessment: evaluate Redrop solutions in terms of market size, competitiveness, and profitability.Value chain/Profit pools: Layout the value chain and identify adjacencies that might have better profitability and be an areas for growth.Multi Generation Product Plan: Where do we want to take Redrop in 5 years and what are the investments in technology, capex, operations, SG&A that we need to make, Payback/ROI from these investments.Multi Generation Strategy and Portfolio
Portfolio Assessment: evaluate Redrop solutions in terms of market size, competitiveness, and profitability.Value chain/Profit pools: Layout the value chain and identify adjacencies that might have better profitability and be an areas for growth.Multi Generation Product Plan: Where do we want to take Redrop in 5 years and what are the investments in technology, capex, operations, SG&A that we need to make, Payback/ROI from these investments.Planning and Execution
Capacity Assessment and Efficiency: Understand the capacity of our plants and operations and work to increase efficiencyCost Optimization-. Waste water processing costs both Opex and Capex and plan to optimize.Business Financials & KPI Tracking
P&L management- Closely working with finance to develop, track and monitor product line P&LDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.Use data-driven insights to improve product efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.Drive continuous improvement by gathering customer feedback and iterating on product featuresQualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field.12+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the wastewater, water treatment, or environmental technology sectors.Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and mechanical treatment methods.Technical & Business Skills
Understanding of industry regulations (e.g., EPA, Clean Water Act, municipal wastewater standards).Experience with water treatment technologies, equipment, and process optimization.Ability to develop business cases, product positioning strategies, and go-to-market plans.Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and drive product improvements.Soft Skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to align teams and drive product initiatives.Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with municipal and industrial wastewater clients.Knowledge of emerging technologies in water reuse, sludge management, and energy recovery.Familiarity with software tools for data analysis, project management, and customer insights (e.g., GIS, SCADA, ERP).Our DEI Commitment
