Senior Director of Tax, Treasury and Insurance

Job Description:

The Senior Director of Tax, Treasury, and Insurance, will lead and oversee critical financial functions, including tax compliance and strategy, treasury operations, and corporate insurance programs. This position is pivotal in ensuring financial efficiency, risk mitigation, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in these areas, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Tax Management

Oversee all tax compliance matters, including corporate income tax, indirect taxes (e.g., VAT, sales/use tax), and international tax filings.Develop and implement strategies for global tax planning and optimization to minimize tax liability while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation in coordination with external advisors.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to address tax audits and inquiries.

Treasury Operations

Direct cash management strategies, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs.Oversee cash flow forecasting and optimize the capital structure through efficient debt and equity management. Establish and maintain banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and manage bank fee structures.Manage foreign currency exposure and execute appropriate hedging strategies to mitigate risks.

Insurance Programs

Evaluate and assess corporate insurance programs, including liability, property, D&O, and other coverage, to identify areas for improvement in terms of cost and coverage.Ensure the company maintains adequate risk management and insurance coverage aligned with its operational needs.Lead the negotiation of insurance renewals and oversee claims management in collaboration with brokers and insurers.Maintain policies and procedures to manage and mitigate risk across the organization effectively.

Leadership and Collaboration

Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring effective delegation and professional development.Partner with cross-functional leaders to align tax, treasury, and insurance strategies with the company’s financial and operational goals.Provide insights and updates to executive leadership and the board on key tax, treasury, and insurance matters.

BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required); CPA, CFA, or MBA.10+ years of relevant experience in tax, treasury, or insurance functions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Deep understanding of tax compliance, international tax laws, and transfer pricing.Proven expertise in treasury operations, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and FX hedging strategies.Strong knowledge of corporate insurance programs and risk management principles.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with complex organizational structures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the healthcare industry.Familiarity with global tax implications in a multinational organization.Prior experience managing insurance portfolios in regulated industries.Track record of successfully leading cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements.Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
