The Sr Director of IT Clinical Business Solutions is responsible for the management and operation of USAP's end to end revenue generating solution for the nation’s largest anesthesiology group practice with over 2.5 million cases and $2B in revenue annually. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily activities of the department staff, whom are responsible for their respective solution areas. Ensuring the end to end solution is operating at peak performance and resilient to failures. Facilitating departmental strategy, vendor management, contract processing and negotiation, and ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency to accomplish strategic and operational objectives. In addition, this position is accountable for employee engagement, adequate staffing levels, budget development and compliance. This position also ensures training, monitoring and operations initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and regulatory/government regulations.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

 

Oversees department operations, designated projects, schedules and activities as needed to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. Sets priorities and functional standards, giving direction to staff as necessary to ensure the best possible delivery of service and high stakeholder satisfaction.Drives department service standards and activities to impact department and/or system score for customer-based satisfaction, through role modeling and fostering accountability. Serves and actively participates on various entity committees as a voice for the department.Collaborates with IT leadership and business stakeholders to establish the strategy and roadmap for clinical business solution systems in alignment with the current and future needs of the business.Utilizing the resources available will develop and execute on strategies that meets the business stakeholders needsDevelops and manages department operational budgets, approvals, and ongoing maintenance of the department, ensuring operation in a cost-effective manner. Proactively identifies and plans for capital needs related to current and future department projects. Ensures staffing plans and schedules meet department needs that reflect understanding of the importance of cost-effectiveness.Creates department strategies to achieve financial target and staffing needs, through optimizing productivity, supply/resource efficiency.Develop and manage the product portfolio roadmap and scope opportunities to meet ROI and obtain appropriate fundingIdentifies and implements innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes to improve department, entity or system operations by leading projects and/or other department/ enterprise-directed activities. Proactively leads task forces and committeesDrives change initiatives, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures. Partners effectively with stakeholders as appropriate.Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. Completes and updates the individual development plan (IDP) on an on-going basis. Conducts conversations with staff on their development and IDP.Apply broad knowledge of our product/service capabilities to identify new product areas, new technology, and emerging product/service opportunities.Partners with Sr Director of technology and Architecture on the technical feasibility and designs on proposed solutions.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

10 years IT experience to include minimum of five years management experienceExperience with a variety of methodologies such as Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Scrum and Agile Development, and Software as a Service (SaaS) based software delivery.Experience owning and managing vendor relationships.Experience with product management principlesExperience with project management principes, PMP certification a plusExperience working with Healthcare RCM and clinical solutions preferredExperience with managing large scale, integrated solutions in the healthcare settingAbility to comprehend complex workflows and technical solutions, and can articulate to others in easy to understand, less technical jargon.Experience working with customers to understand needs and define requirements for improvements to IT solutions, user workflows and data analysisExperience with software development processes and working with development teams, both locally and offshore.Ability to influence others through collaboration and building trustAbility to communicate with C-Level executives and physicians clearly and effectivelyExperience leading successful projects on-time, on budget and meeting the customer needs

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required in IT, Business, Healthcare or related fieldsMaster's degree preferredProduct Management Certifications preferred

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel required: less than 25% to other states with USAP locations
