As the Senior Director Digital CommerceEU, you will lead the development and execution of our EU digital commerce strategy, driving growth and innovation across all digital platforms and sub-channels: Omnichannel being the main share of business, led by international customers (e.g.Tesco, Leclerc, Carrefour) followed by Pure Play (e.g. Amazon International , Ocado, Bol.com, Allegro) and Quick Commerce. Also responsible for eB2B business development in both established and emerging markets, across all platforms (Digitalization of Wholesalers and new Online platforms like Amazon Business). D2C (Direct to Consumer) is out of scope.
You will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the digital commerce operations, ensuring alignment with our broader business objectives and financial goals.
How you will contribute
Strategic Leadership of the dCommerce Agenda: Develop and oversee the EU digital commerce vision, objectives, and comprehensive strategies in line with our long-term goals (Annual Commitments, Strategic Plans, Vision 2030) and influence the overall enterprise P&L, all consistent with Global dcommerce strategy.Lead dCommerce Function: Lead the EU Digital Commerce Center of Excellence and overall function at a Regional level, establishing a formal dComm functional leadership team to foster dComm innovation, talent and accelerate business growth. Lead governance structures ensuring effective implementation and measurable impact of dComm strategies at the BU level. Cultivate a regional, cross-functional dComm community enhancing collaboration and breaking down silos within the organization.dCommerce Innovation: In partnership with Digital Services and Insights & Analytics develop and implement dCommerce tech platform and retailer data strategies, ensuring tech solutions are fully utilized to their maximum potential, analytics are enhanced, and actionable insights shared and utilized to drive growth.Pureplay & Quick Commerce Acceleration: Manage strategic partnerships to accelerate growth within key digital platforms e.g. Amazon and Getir.Digital Retail Media Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive digital retail media strategy, enhancing capabilities across the organization.Private Label Strategy: Support developed markets in creation of a cohesive strategy to remain competitive and drive growth against private label threat.Customer Collaboration: Support Business Unit (BU) Sales leaders in establishing and executing joint commerce plans for top customers.Operational Integration: Integrate digital commerce objectives seamlessly with core Marketing and Sales functions, enhancing workflows and responsibilities.Capability Development: Codify, disseminate and drive adoption of digital commerce best practices through principles, playbooks, and tailored action plans. Work with cross-functional teams to identify skill gaps and elevate expertise through targeted learning initiatives in areas such as Digital Shelf Content, Digital Retail Media, and ePPA, within MEU iPPA strategy, in close collaboration with Marketing and Revenue Growth team.What you will bring

Min. of 15 years of proven leadership and solid commercial experience with a track record of driving significant business growth in digital commerce.Deep Digital Commerce knowledge, from operating in multiple different contexts (organizations, categories, geographies, roles) and understanding of Omnichannel , Pure Play and eB2B dynamics. Preferably, good understanding of EU Geographies and Commercial context.A relentless drive for continuous improvement, and demonstrable impact in previous roles. Passionate for unceasing learning and training.Exceptional ability to collaborate, influence, and build partnerships across functions and markets.Forward-thinking with a visionary mindset, anticipating future trends and preparing the organization to leverage emerging opportunities.Excellent communication skills, with a talent for clear, impactful storytelling and strategic presentations.Technical Proficiency. Familiarity with Digital Services platforms (e.g. Sellcheck, DCG, Illimitail, Commerce IQ), web analytics tools (e.g Amazon Stakline, Google Analytics), SEO, digital marketing strategies, and basic knowledge of web development and IT infrastructure.Relocation Support Available?
