The Sr. Director of CareCoach Connect has management responsibility for day-to-day market operations of the assigned market(s). The Sr. Director collaborates with Sr. Medical Director and other market leaders. The position is responsible for accountable execution and monitoring of market & regional strategies and action plans in support of both internal and external customers to include advancing the CareCoach Connect model. The position is involved in planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for each of the assigned markets. This position has a dotted line matrix management responsibility. The responsibilities of this position demand a wide range of knowledge and capabilities including but not limited to: strategic planning and analysis skills, performance outcomes, comprehension of the market, healthcare regulations, personnel management, highly developed communication skills; and the ability to develop clear action plans and drive process, given often ambiguous issues with numerous interdependencies.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Establish/update and manage business projections, forecasting and budgets, both financially and with timelines, for assigned projects
+ Supervision of CareCoach Connect market personnel to include recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and development, correction, and retention to maximize staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives and leadership
+ Able to step in to be able to perform operational tasks of the team if someone is out for an extended period of time
+ Day to day management and knowledge of schedule capacity and productivity
+ Oversight of getting transition visits scheduled and seen within a timely manner as defined by the business
+ Put together and provide market level updates for leadership meetings
+ Comprehensive understanding of:
+ local and/or national labor market issues and resource availability for staffing recruitment and retention
+ relevant healthcare plans and managed-care entities
+ clinical practice regulations and state, federal, and private healthcare guidelines, regulations, procedures, and products
+ clinical-related business environment, trends, and issues (e.g., market and competition drivers/issues
+ Provide cross functional leadership across the enterprise by maintaining open communication, identifying, resolving cross functional issues, attain metric targets by collaboratively creating, maintaining, implementing and evaluating business strategic plans for each area, continually improving cross functional policies/procedures/workflows and support systems and proactively facilitates staff development to achieve the goals and objectives of the market
+ Cross-functional teams are not limited to quality, network, employed operations teams, central teams to include CPR, DataRaps, HCE, and more
+ Develop/maintain processes and programs to shape working relationships with internal and/or external customers (e.g., business partners, clinical staff, physicians; facilities, and health plans) regarding:
+ clinical operational performance and effectiveness
+ opportunities to improve clinical programs and performance and guide decision-making
+ remain aware of issues and operations of internal and/or external business partners
+ Monitor clinical performance metrics to ensure market and enterprise strategies are met and improved upon if not met
+ Interact/communicate with the external patient community to provide patient care and promote brand awareness, value, and services
+ Analyze relevant information to identify/implement potential new programs and services; create/provide input into proposals for developing new programs/services or expanding existing programs/services; work with internal partners to identify staffing needs and ROI; and set/review/modify/provide input into strategic objectives for applicable clinical operations
+ Ensure compliance with:
+ safety guidelines/procedures
+ business continuity plans
+ required training and licenses/certification/credentialing to perform job required activities
+ Plan/implement corrective actions/solutions to address operational issues and concerns
+ Performs all other related duties as assigned
+ Analyze reporting to ensure accuracy of information provided and solutions to fix if needed

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or a related field (4+ additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)
+ 5+ years of management/supervisory experience
+ 4+ years managed care experience in clinical setting with an emphasis on operations
+ Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to Medicare Advantage
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook
+ Ability and willingness to travel during day and overnight for up to 25% both locally and non-locally, as determined by business need
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Certification as RN, LVN, X-ray technician or similar clinical designation
+ Medicare health care operations including HEDIS, HCC Coding and Medicare Advantage

+ Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
