The Senior Director Strategic Operations will report directly to the Executive Director, Chief of Staff to GCO Head. The incumbent will + Lead key strategic GCO initiatives & projects and assess / monitor impact + Provide key Leadership in the areas of Business Strategy, Operational Insights Generation, Data/Systems Validation, Goals Management and Cross Functional Engagements. + Lead optimization of assigned GCO process, organization and decision making. + Lead development & tracking of goals & key performance indicators for GCO **Essential Functions of the job:** + Member of the GCO Strategic Operations team; Collaborate with teams within GCO and other functions to deliver on commitments to the organization and to patients + Lead support for insights driven GCO strategic & operational decision-making by leveraging internally & externally available data sources + Drive assigned data & systems validations in partnership with GCO & other colleagues + Plan, track, and manage progress of the GCO strategic and yearly goals/objectives and other performance indicators + Develop and lead cross-functional teams in brainstorming new approaches in driving efficiencies & other improvement measures. + Plan, execute key GCO initiatives, and assess impact + Ensure appropriate scoping of projects & contribute expertise/insights to develop, implement and lead key strategic initiative/plans. + Provide internal project management support as necessary. Act as project leader to plan and execute the assigned projects. + Facilitate alignment with key stakeholders and ensure communication across project teams. + Plan, track, and manage project tasks, milestones, dependencies, and identify elements on critical path + Coordinate project team meeting schedules, prepare agendas and minutes, track action items and progress reports according to project management best practices. + Represent the Strategic Operations Team & GCO in collaborations with internal and external key stakeholders as appropriate. + Leads and/or contributes to selected annual operating planning processes **Education Required:** Advanced degrees required in Life sciences or business with 8+ years experience. A Master/MBA in operations and 15 years’ experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals or a related field in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred. At least 7 years of experience leading large scale strategic initiatives in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry.
