Job Description Summary:

Reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Risk Officer, the Sr. Director, Risk Management is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s operational risk, with a specific focus on third-party risk management, affiliate services, and operational resiliency. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the company’s operations are efficient, effective, and in compliance with regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities                                                                                           

Drive adoption of the operational risk management framework for the company.Lead and enhance the company’s third-party risk management program, including due diligence, monitoring, and reporting.Establish and maintain effective relationships with key process owners and ensure that their services comply with the company’s standards and expectations.Enhance the operational resiliency program to ensure that the company’s critical operations can continue in the event of a disruption or disaster.Develop and implement metrics and reporting to effectively monitor and communicate the company’s operational risk profile to senior management.Provide advice and guidance to business units on operational risk management matters.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company’s operational risk management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Monitor and assess emerging operational risk issues and trends, and develop strategies to mitigate risks to the company.Manage and develop a team of operational risk management professionals.Prepare and provide regular updates to Parent and international Boards, authorized committees and working groups as appropriate.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.12+ years of experience in operational risk management or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective third-party risk management programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate operational risk issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team of operational risk management professionals.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$143400 to $285450
