Senior Director, Product Management – Airlines Supply Partner

The Product Supply Partner Organization, within the Product Division is responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions to Expedia’s partners. This team’s charter focusing on airline industry line of business, delivering end-to-end airline capabilities to the partners such as new distribution connections (NDC), selling unique supply such as ancillaries (paid seats/preferred boarding, paid baggage) and inventory connections to support premium cabin sales. This role directly engages with our airlines partners to understand their distribution strategy to align that to EG airline strategy. This role also engages several other airline based teams such as searching, pricing, order management, and customer servicing to ensure that we provide the best experience for our travelers throughout their travel journey.
What you’ll do:
You will develop and deploy the overall airline connectivity strategy covering all Expedia Group brands worldwide.You will evaluate potential ideas regarding new technologies, applications and process changes against business goals.You will identify airline process gaps/inefficiencies across teams and recommend improvements to processes to increase effectiveness, drive business results that will be automated, simplified and can scale.You will advocate for cross-functional support and structure needed to accomplish goals and reorganize to align with cross-functional teams for optimal efficiency.You will combine knowledge, skills, and product expertise (e.g., KPIs, audience, technical) in more than one functional product area to promote effectiveness and influence across the larger product portfolio.You will influence product culture and day-to-day strategic alignment with broader business/organization.You will direct team in building individual product leadership skills by developing team member product expertise within portfolio, including coaching team PMs on fostering outcome-oriented product thinking within their own delivery teamsWho you are:
Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related Technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.Exceptional People Leadership skills managing large, cross-functional teams.Travel industry experience with specific knowledge of airline distribution models, connectivity and GDS transactions.Demonstrates experience in resource planning and optimization within and across teams to maximize results and achieve desirable performance.Able to effectively drive and evaluate idea creation of new ideas, methods, products and solutions that align with departmental and business goals.Strong data-driven, metrics-oriented individual that tackle new initiatives starting with high level direction.The total cash range for this position in Austin is $296,000 to $385,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $414,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $270,500.00 to $351,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $379,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $296,000.00 to $414,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $473,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
