What you'll be responsible for:

As the Senior Director of Product for Customer Journey, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for a team that spans the customer lifecycle. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming critical customer and internal workflows using AI-powered capabilities that reduce friction, drive scale, and improve the quality of decision-making. You will contribute to driving Circle’s platform strategy to simplify, automate, and enhance the customer experience, while also enabling operational scale through internal tooling, self-service capabilities, and AI-powered solutions.

This role will be central to Circle’s strategy of becoming an AI-first platform. You’ll guide your team in building modular, self-service infrastructure and intelligent tools that empower internal teams and deliver exceptional experiences for customers. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Care, Sales, Marketing, and other Product teams, you’ll ensure our platform evolves to meet the needs of a growing, global customer base while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, reliability, and user trust

You will lead a team of high-performing product managers and partner deeply with Engineering, Compliance, Business, Marketing, Customer Care, Legal, and other Product teams to design a composable platform that supports strategic growth initiatives and delivers a seamless experience for Circle’s global customer base. As a senior leader, you will ensure alignment across stakeholders, define clear success metrics, and advocate for a customer-obsessed mindset at all levels of the organization​​.

What you'll work on:

Lead the evolution of customer onboarding into an AI-first, modular experience that reduces friction and improves conversion, including the development of pre-qualification tools, guided application flows, and AI-assisted due diligence​​.

Leverage AI to improve operational efficiency and decision-making across workflows like onboarding, application reviews, and customer escalations​​.

Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Customer Journey team, spanning onboarding, internal tooling, customer data systems, and third party vendor solutions.

Build and scale internal tooling used by Customer Support, Compliance, Finance Ops, and other teams, with a focus on automation, self-service, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate across functions to ensure Circle’s AI-driven platform meets global regulatory requirements while improving customer and team efficiency.

Partner with Engineering to deliver a composable platform architecture that supports Circle’s market expansion into new geographies, products, and customer segments​.

Hire and grow a global team of product managers for Compliance and Risk Platform. 

Build deep relationships and create strategic alliances to establish trust with key stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, engineering, product etc. to accelerate delivery of risk and compliance initiatives.

Partner with all key stakeholders to define the product requirements, develop insights and write detailed user stories to deliver features and functionality to scale Circle's risk and compliance functions.

Participate in all aspects of the development life cycle, from definition through deployment and support to ensure that timely advice and risk and compliance consultation is provided as necessary. 

Communicate product status, metrics, goals and performance clearly to internal stakeholders throughout the organization, including impacted teams 

What you'll bring to Circle:

15+ years of relevant experience in implementing KYC, AML, or Sanctions technologies in scaled companies, including leading programs for Fintech or crypto businesses. Compliance policy, product or engineering experience in either banking, consulting, or cryptocurrency required. 

10+ years in executive, managerial or people leadership capacities, or equivalent entrepreneurship roles.

Experience in RegTech or Fintech companies is preferred. You are a creative product mind, an avid problem solver and a highly collaborative team member. 

You have experience designing risk and compliance operational workflows and deeply understand the expected rigor required in our operations. 

You are a self-starter and fast-moving when it comes to putting plans into motion - you don't need to work from a script. 

Highly quantitative, analytical, and business minded with a data-driven approach to decision making. Proven experience with regulatory exams and presenting to examiners. 

Ability to lead, influence, and motivate individuals and teams. Skilled in holding people accountable and establishing high standards of excellence.

Executive presence with an ability to influence and work hands-on with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in improving compliance processes and systems. 

Experience leading diverse teams in a complex, matrixed organization. Deep experience and knowledge of traditional money laundering and terrorist financing typologies
