As Senior Director, Media, you will lead strategy and execution for the paid, editorial, and SEO marketing teams, using data-driven and customer backed insights to maximize ROI on a nine figure budget across the full funnel. You’ll manage a team of talented marketers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cutting-edge paid media strategies that align with overall marketing and business objectives across the marketing funnel. You’ll launch and measure new activations through out of home, sponsorships, and partnerships. You’ll set the pace and implement best practices while driving new customer acquisitions, reactivations, and monetization to help our members reach their financial goals. We are looking for a transformative leader who can take bold swings with innovative approaches, has deep understanding of measurement approaches, leverages a comprehensive, full-funnel marketing approach to drive business growth and customer engagement.
What you'll do: Develop and execute a long-term media strategy that aligns with Credit Karma’s corporate objectives and consistently maximizes ROI across digital, offline, SEO, and editorial channels across the full funnel from brand to direct response. Implement tracking and measurement systems to evaluate the effectiveness of paid media campaigns, performance reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Provide executive leadership, coaching, and direction to a team of talented marketers, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, creativity, and accountability. Create a culture of experimentation, driving continuous testing and analysis of key metrics. Oversee the management and optimization of a nine figure annual media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and alignment with business priorities. Collaborate with C-suite executives and key stakeholders across creative, brand, analytics, product, legal, and finance to integrate media efforts with broader company initiatives, enhancing overall brand coherence and market positioning. Champion data-driven decision-making, utilizing advanced analytics and research to inform strategies and measure performance across all media channels. Lead innovation in media practices by implementing cutting-edge technologies and platforms, staying ahead of industry trends, and exploring new opportunities for growth and engagement. Develop and execute media approaches that define the industry standard with new and existing channels and placements, including out of home and sponsorships. Expand reach and relevance with new audiences through best in class social media strategies, partnering with creative and brand on creative and culturally relevant content. Enhance Credit Karma’s industry presence and thought leadership by representing the company at high-level media and corporate events, building strategic partnerships, and engaging with external audiences. What we are looking for: At least 10 years of experience in paid media, with a strong track record of successful team leadership; including strategic planning, execution, and optimisation Proven track record of success in managing large-scale media budgets and leading high performing and diverse teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Comprehensive understanding of both digital and traditional media channels, with a proven ability to integrate multi-channel strategies that drive brand and performance goals. Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of inspiring teams and cultivating executive-level relationships. Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a strong emphasis on ROI analysis and data-driven insights. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
