Position Summary:
This role leads the business engagement partnership function for Corporate Functions. The Senior Director will partner and collaborate with the respective leadership teams from HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and IT to drive financial goals, customer satisfaction, and IT strategy alignment. They will ensure divisional requirements align with Stryker’s IT strategy, achieve targets, and maintain accountability for programs, financials, and SLAs. The Senior Director will drive business engagement, strategies, and capability development with Corporate Functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead an engaged and effective team, fostering collaboration and alignment with corporate goals.
Build strong relationships with leadership and act as a liaison between IT and Corporate Functions.
Manage the IT budget, guiding investments to meet strategic objectives.
Identify opportunities for technology and prioritize initiatives based on business needs.
Define and monitor IT projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements throughout their lifecycle.
Drive IT value creation and customer satisfaction for Corporate Functions.
Align business demand with IT projects and services, ensuring value delivery.
Develop and implement a comprehensive information strategy and IT application roadmap that supports Corporate Functions’ multi-year objectives.
Support reporting, analytics, and digital innovation initiatives.
Serve as a domain expert and business consultant to leadership.
Oversee the integration of business processes within the IT environment.
Collaborate with IT stakeholders in project management, architecture, and governance.
Sponsor key initiatives and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Maintain high business and IT acumen through continuous learning.
Ensure global IT service compliance and process efficiency within KPIs.
Perform other duties as directed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Partner with HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal, and Compliance leadership to ensure IT solutions meet strategic needs.
Oversee information demand, resolving priority conflicts across regions.
Participate in governance groups within Corporate Functions.
Support the development of metrics to track value delivery.
Positively challenge and question business partners on needs and benefits.
Prioritize and charter program initiatives with division leadership.
Ensure smooth integration of IT processes and systems.
Lead cross-functional IT teams and manage budgets effectively.
Support applications teams in meeting SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
Finalize functional specifications based on business requirements.
Education & Special Training:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required (Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred).
Master’s degree in MIS, MBA, or related disciplines is preferred.
Qualifications & Experience:
15+ years of experience in business, strategy, and IS/IT management.
10+ years of management experience.
Knowledgeable about current and future industry technology trends.
Proven ability to develop partnerships and build Group IT strategies.
Experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
Background in regulated application landscapes in life sciences.
5+ years of experience in the medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, and develop high-performing teams.
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Strong leadership, analytical, and change management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization.
Executive communication and partnership experience.
Knowledge of current applications and awareness of future industry trends.
Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, training, and performance management.
