Job Description:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary Senior Director, Finance Master Data Governance Lead to spearhead our enterprise-wide financial master data governance initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity, consistency, and compliance of financial data across our systems. You will provide strategic leadership in master data governance processes and policies within SAP MDG, Central Finance (CFIN), PaPM, Data Lakes, and OneStream, empowering efficient financial reporting, planning, and analytics across the organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design and implement innovative data governance frameworks that align with our corporate financial strategies.
What are we looking for?
15+ years of robust experience in finance master data governance, financial systems, or enterprise data management within a large global organization with Bachelor's degree.Deep expertise in SAP MDG, SAP ECC, and S/4, with a comprehensive understanding of financial master data structures.Proven track record of leading the design and implementation of master data governance frameworks that enhance financial reporting, planning, and analytics.Exceptional ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams and senior executives, driving alignment and collaboration.Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience leveraging data lakes and cloud-based financial data platforms.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AI/ML-driven data quality and governance tools.Prior leadership in finance transformation initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA and CFIN implementations.Experience working in a multinational corporate finance environment.What will be your key responsibilities?
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and communicate a clear vision for master data governance that aligns with corporate financial strategies and objectives.Craft and implement a comprehensive Finance Master Data Governance strategy that champions financial data integrity, standardization, and compliance across all financial applications and platforms.Establish and enforce robust policies, controls, and best practices for master data management, ensuring seamless alignment with SAP MDG, CFIN, PaPM, Data Lake, and OneStream requirements.Mentor and develop a skilled team to drive innovation in advanced planning and analytics capabilities through technology.Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the governance framework and adapt to evolving business needs.Data Stewardship:
Lead the charge in developing a data stewardship model that fosters clear accountability for data ownership, quality, and governance processes across the organization.Drive initiatives for data harmonization and rationalization, optimizing financial data structures across ERP and financial reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Implement training programs for data stewards to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective data governance.Facilitate regular reviews of data quality and governance processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Technology & Systems Oversight:
Act as the business owner for financial master data governance across key platforms, including SAP MDG, Central Finance (CFIN), SAP PaPM, OneStream, and the Data Lake, ensuring best practices are followed.Collaborate closely with IT and Finance stakeholders to implement technology-enabled master data solutions that elevate financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics capabilities.Enable governance oversight for data lake finance data assets, ensuring their accuracy, traceability, and usability for analytics and informed decision-making.Drive the adoption of automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance data quality monitoring and governance processes.Performance Measurement:
Define and track KPIs and data quality metrics for finance master data, driving continuous improvements and measuring the effectiveness of governance initiatives.Establish and maintain a robust data audit and compliance framework to mitigate financial reporting risks related to master data inconsistencies.Ensure adherence to data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards, collaborating with risk and audit teams to uphold the highest standards of data governance.Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by regularly reviewing performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as necessaryWhat can you expect from us?
