Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy



About the Role

McKesson’s Corporate Strategy and Business Development (CSBD) department is seeking to add a Senior Director to its Enterprise Strategy & Operations team that is responsible for helping the company achieve its growth goals and strategic vision. The Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy will be tasked with supporting enterprise leadership in planning, delivering, and implementing high-priority strategic projects that advance McKesson's competitive position in support of the enterprise while contributing to our purpose of Advancing Health Outcomes for All®, working with business leaders to develop strategies aligned to our enterprise priorities, and partnering across CSBD teams in support of McKesson’s strategy.

In this challenging and highly visible role, this individual will support corporate level strategic decision-making by leading projects related to market analysis, emerging industry trends, and the identification of strategic needs as it relates to the pursuit of building new and strengthening existing business endeavors.

This role reports directly to the Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and CSBD Operations.
 

What You’ll Do
 

Define and manage multiple complex strategic projects, high-quality deliverables, and detailed work plansCreate analytical frameworks and conduct complex business analysesDevelop robust, actionable insights to inform strategies, priorities, and key decisionsQuickly build expertise and insights about industry trends and potential implications for McKessonManage relationships with key leaders and project stakeholders throughout the organizationLead, influence, and reach consensus with or without formal authority or people management responsibilitiesStay updated on industry news, market research reports, and partner/competitor activitiesAreas of focus include but are not limited to implications of market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging risks and opportunitiesMaintain thorough knowledge of company's business lines, products, and servicesApply strategic and analytical thinking to synthesize market data and deliver business insightsManage discrete threads of work independently and deliver high-quality work productPartners with VP, Enterprise Strategy and CSBD Operations to drive the annual strategic planning process and supports other strategic updates to the C-suite and Board of DirectorsLeverage presentations to develop a storyline and POV, while influencing and driving conviction that a given strategy makes sense among key McKesson executive leadersWork within established framework to facilitate business problem solving and present hypotheses and recommendations to senior managementWork through ambiguity and put structure around problems/tasks with limited guidanceThis role is an individual contributor and does not have direct reports

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree requiredMBA or other relevant master’s degree preferred10+ years of prior strategy consulting, healthcare consulting, startup and/or relevant industry experiencePrior experience in healthcare required

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$152,700 - $254,500
