We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

As the Sr. Director of Employee Learning, you will report directly to the VP of Talent and Belonging and play a critical role on the Talent + Belonging Leadership Team. The Head of Employee Learning is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development strategies that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees across the organization. This leadership role focuses on fostering a culture of continuous learning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and promoting employee engagement and retention through effective training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:Create and execute a long-term learning and development strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and workforce needs.Assess current learning programs and identify gaps to improve overall employee learning experiences.Program Design and Implementation:Develop, implement, and manage innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning solutions.Collaborate with leaders to identify training needs and tailor programs to meet those needs.Ensure training programs are engaging, relevant, and effective in achieving desired outcomes.Leadership and Team Management:Lead and mentor a team of learning and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff within the learning and development team.Evaluation and Improvement:Establish metrics and evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to refine training programs and ensure relevance.Budget Management:Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for training initiatives.Evaluate and negotiate contracts with external training providers and consultants as needed.Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on learning and development trends, best practices, and innovations.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of learning and development.Technology and Innovation:Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the learning and development field, integrating relevant tools and platforms to enhance learning experiences.Promote the use of learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.Diversity and Inclusion:Ensure learning programs are inclusive and accessible, promoting diversity in training content and delivery methods.Advocate for initiatives that support the development of underrepresented groups within the organization.

About You:

You are a strategic and data-driven leader with a passion for learning and development. You excel at building high-performing teams and achieving measurable outcomes. Skilled at driving business outcomes through targeted learning interventions; comfortable influencing leaders on the appropriate use of learning to drive business outcomes.Digital Learning Proficiency: Extensive experience with LMSs, LXPs, and a range of digital learning content providers and tools.  

Qualifications:

10+ years of applicable experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.Proven experience in developing and implementing successful learning and development programs.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and program improvements.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Proficiency with learning management systems and e-learning toolsExceptional team management and coaching abilities. Ability to work regularly on-site at a PayPal office.

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is

$143400 to $285450
