Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $159,400.00 - $265,600.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Responsible for availability of Cox’s critical infrastructure facilities and ensuring maximum uptime of IT assetsBuild and lead a diverse, world-class data center operations team, developing both the technical capabilities and leadershipCreate and drive a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and safetyDevelop robust processes and standards to enable efficiency, effectiveness, and operational excellenceScope and execute complex data center retrofit/upgrade projects in coordination with the divisional partnersProvide leadership for preventive and predictive maintenance programs, IT load management, capacity planning, standardization of MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, incident management, and equipment failure root cause analysis and corrective action plansWorks with leaders across the enterprise to understand future demands and business objectivesManage the installation and decommissioning of IT equipment into the facilities in a timely and repeatable mannerFind effective ways to keep operating costs to a minimum while maintaining availability and business responsivenessProvide thought leadership across the company for technical facility design and operationsPartner to ensure all security requirements are met for access management, video surveillance and legal complianceStays abreast of current and future business, industry, technology direction and trends to meet business goalsManage key vendors for maintenance and equipment procurement to ensure pricing and availability requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 12 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 7 years’ experience in a related field; or 16 years’ experience in a related field7 + years’ experience in a management or leadership role for a 24 / 7 environmentExperience in data center Electrical  and Mechanical infrastructure and other complex critical systems supporting infrastructureExperience successfully leading large complex projectsExperience in diverse industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies, and fire suppression systemsExperience communicating at all levels in times of crisisExperience thinking strategically and executing tacticallyExperienced in change management and team buildingExperience developing leadership at various levelsUnderstanding environmental health and safety programs


 

Other Essential Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

Travel: 10% -15% for visiting remote facilities and consultations
