Job Description

Team Summary

Reporting to the Regional Risk Officer, the Payment Ecosystem Risk team is responsible for:

driving holistic Ecosystem Risk Strategy and Operations for Asia Pacific, supporting the effectiveness of in-market Heads of Riskensuring robust Ecosystem Risk programs and controls across 1) Ecosystem Risk Programs, and 2) Ecosystem Data Security participantsleading thought leadership in the risk and security space combatting payments fraud

What an AP Head of Ecosystem Risk Programs does at Visa

As a key pillar of the Payment Ecosystem Risk team, The AP Head of Ecosystem Risk Programs will report to the VP, Payment Ecosystem Risk. They will lead Visa APs Ecosystem Risk programs effectively and ensure proper deployment of the programs across AP’s diverse set of markets. These programs consist of VIRP (Visa integrity risk program), VAMP (Visa Acquirer risk program), VIMP (Visa Issuer risk program), VARS (Visa Acceptance Risk Standards).

Key objectives are:

Ensure future-proof Ecosystem Risk programs based on a seamless lifecycle management approach across consumer, commercial and money movement payment flows.Assess the performance and impact of Ecosystem Risk programs, and drive improvements by partnering with Global program owners to enhance program design, operational execution or design new initiatives to strengthen risk environment.Ensure robust execution of Visa AP Ecosystem Risk programs, focusing on ensuring the integrity and security of Visa’s payment ecosystem whilst supporting (new) business growth.Train internal and external stakeholders on Visa’s Ecosystem Risk Programs aligning with business goals.Represent Visa as a domain expert in AP, including engaging with clients, industry stakeholders and regulators to present programs’ design and operational execution.Lead and grow a diverse Risk team, fostering innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.

Projects you will be a part of:

As the AP Head of Ecosystem Risk Programs for Visa Asia Pacific, you will be a key member of the Asia Pacific Risk Team, advising the AP Regional Risk Officer (RRO) and AP regional risk leadership team, hub and global functional leads on strategies related to complex operational, financial, legal and regulatory risk exposures.

The delivery of these initiatives will require close collaboration with senior leadership in the region and with stakeholders in Global Risk, Account Executives, Rules, and Legal.

 

Qualifications

What you will need: 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned senior payments fraud risk leader (minimum 15 years) with extensive acquiring operational and leadership experience in fraud risk management, scheme compliance or network partnerships. This role would be perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a multiplier effect on team performance and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to deliver best outcomes.

Relevant Industry Exposure

Proven track record in designing and executing fraud risk strategies that protect the ecosystem while enabling business innovation and growthStrong knowledge with respect to payments risk management and Visa Rules, including industry practices, trends and emerging threatsHands-on operational and strategic experience of acquiring risk and fraud management, with a focus on actionable results and measurable impact

Exceptional Collaboration and Communication Skills
