Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will lead the integration of security practices into our DevOps processes, ensuring the highest level of security across the software development lifecycle. This role is suited for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in DevOps, security, and automation. You will provide strategic direction, mentorship to team members, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the organization's security posture.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 

8+ years of experience in DevOps, security, or a related role. 

Proven track record of leading DevSecOps initiatives and implementing security in complex environments. 

Expert proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and advanced security automation tools. 

In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. 

Preferred Skills: 

Certification in DevSecOps or relevant advanced security certifications. 

Experience with advanced CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and version control systems (e.g., Git). 

Deep expertise in container security best practices. 

Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability management platforms. 

Advanced skills in incident response and security incident analysis. 

Develop functional systems and solutions with a focus on scalability, automation, reliability, security and quality. Implement customer integrations, and improve the customer experience. Perform root cause analysis of production errors, resolve issues, design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance, and build tools to reduce error occurrence. OML roles mapped to this profile are: OMF DevOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer and DevOps Manager.

ResponsibilitiesApplication Software Road Map

Define and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.

Product/Service Development

Evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposed solutions, working in cross-functional or agile teams to develop and deliver significant aspects of the development program.

Data-Driven Product and Service Improvement

Research data from digital product/service performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for product/service improvement.

Design and Conceptualization

Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.

Information Security

Implement and provide input on the design of required security measures, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems with coding or built-in packages.

Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance

Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.

Application Software Development

Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.

Faults Diagnosis and Correction

Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.

Personal Capability Building

Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Agile Release Planning

Plan and replan software releases for medium-sized projects as they are produced to ensure timely updates and to deliver the planned benefits as early as possible in the project or program.
