What you'll do
SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the recently established Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization. As a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d), you'll play a crucial role in our team's mission by collaborating closely with product and tool owners, program managers, developers, security experts, architects, and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Your tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration, providing you with hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks. This includes:
What you bring
• University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of related professional experience in Cloud Delivery-related fields and technologies incl. cloud automation
• Proficiency in technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Strong knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and their product offerings.
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience containerizing VM-based workloads
• Experience with scripting languages.
• Openness to learning new methods and technologies
• Experience in SAP Product Offerings is a plus - specifically experience with S/4HANA, S/4HANA PCE and IBP
• Experience with Project Management or collaboration tools (ex. Jira, Trello, Notion etc.)
• Strong decision-making skills and a can-do attitude.
• Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking.
• Persistence, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
