JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for providing independent technical support for application issues and outages. The candidate will work closely with development teams, vendors, and various technology partners to ensure timely resolution of issues and application management.

Responsibilities:

Independently provide technical support for application issues and outages, which includes interfacing with development teams and vendors via established problem tracking processes to report, track, and resolve issues within the applicationCoordinate with Technology partners (Infrastructure, Data, Development, Monitoring and Other Teams) on the day-to-day management of application life cycle.Perform analysis on software application functionality, manage expectations, track the intake and resolution of issues, requests, and changes through the Service Now ticketing system.Maintain a proactive approach throughout the day, with the ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues.Maintain application system documentation to include system reviews, runbooks, knowledge documents, changes, audits, and future application improvement recommendations.Proactively facilitate incidents, lead root cause discovery efforts and log and debug files as it relates to applications and its usage.Perform quality assurance testing of new application software releases and patches, deployment after the production release.Provide capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of designated application system(s), while identifying trends or problems on the recuring alertsComply with ITIL standards including, Incidents, Problem records managementProficient in UNIX environment and shell scriptingMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesEfficiently escalate issues to the development team, raise incidents, manage impact, and communicate with users and stakeholders.Proficient at managing the creation and support of job scheduling functions required for the applicationEfficiently escalate issues to the development team, raise incidents, manage impact, and communicate with users and stakeholders.Automate manual processes to improve efficiency.Strong communication skillsStrong Production issue triage and troubleshooting skills Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Level L2, L2.5 Application Support experience, preferably in the 6-10 years range.Technical Skills: Unix/Linux, any object-oriented programming experience (Java, or Python, etc.)Database: Oracle, CassandraMonitoring tool: Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamic, OTELTelecom domain experience will be an advantagePrometheus Certified Associate (PCA) - Preferred
