About The Team

This team is instrumental in developing Ivanti's purpose-built platform for CIOs and CISOs powered by Ivanti Neurons - a cloud-scale, hyperautomation layer that enables proactive healing, user-friendly security across the organization and provides an enhanced user experience. This department plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's growth trajectory through continuous innovation and customer-centric solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

Working in a scrum team you’ll collaborate with your colleagues to solve complex challenges whilst overcoming constraints in the form of cost and execution time.

Immediately you’ll be focused on our Ivanti Neurons for MDM product. This product is written in Java, with a Postgres database and a JS framework frontend. It leverages technologies to enable high availability, scale and reporting such as Redis, Nginx and ElasticSearch.

Our team leverage the public cloud catalogue primarily using Azure to provide a platform for our applications to run on. We also facilitate the deployment and observation of the applications using the likes of GitHub Actions, Terraform and New Relic.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain our Deployment Automation Platform Develop pipelines that use versioned scripts / definitions to build and test software components. Implement deployment pipelines that can be used to deploy to a variety of different targets. i.e. Test, Staging, Production Understand the Definition of Done used by the product development teams and build automation / integrations that help the teams conform to these. Build tooling that helps us automate and comply with security requirements / certifications Follow industry best practice and Ivanti guidelines to standardise implementation dentify bottlenecks in our processes and work with your peers to improve these Play a leading role in discussions / code review so the team “levels up” together

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

4+ years writing code in your IDE as part of a team A fundamental understanding of DevOps practices such as CI/CD and DORA metrics Code authoring and writing reusable, maintainable code in version control Hands on experience with CI Servers / Runners. In MDM we use Jenkins and GitHub actions as our primary runner. Reviewing others code for best practice Experience with Kubernetes deployments and cluster management

Roadmap for Success

You'll be in at the start of our process to replace the Deployment Automation Platform. We're looking to create dynamic platforms that can be created on the fly and deployed to whenever the engineers need to test new developments.

You'll first be exposed to how our Deployment Automation Platform works now and over the next 6 months to a year we'll be looking to replace this functionality leveraging Terraform for state based infra and application deployment pipelines.
