The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Senior Java Developer to join our team as we embark on a pivotal project to migrate our on-premise NetWeaver Application Server Java (NW AS Java) solution to SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP). As a Senior Developer, you will be involved from the outset of this project, playing a crucial role in the research phase, and actively participating in the architectural planning and development of the migration strategy, including using Cloud Foundry for deployment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of technological innovation within SAP and to shape the future of our cloud solutions.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive research and feasibility studies to understand migration requirements. Actively participating in the architectural design and decision-making process for migration to the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Developing, implementing, and testing the migration strategy, focusing on web services and utilizing Cloud Foundry for deployment. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment with broader project goals. Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to inform the migration process. Contributing to the security aspects of the new cloud solution, including the implementation of robust authentication, authorization, and user management protocols.

What You Bring

Deep Java knowledge (e.g., multi-threading). Experience in knowledge sharing. Strong relationship and communication skills with the ability to build trust. Proficiency in proposing process improvements. Experience working with legacy code. Customer-oriented work experience. Good knowledge in networking, operating systems, and relational databases. Willingness to acquire new knowledge and apply it to resolving problems. Proactive and open-minded attitude. Team-player orientation. Fluency in English. Previous working experience in a similar role.
