Senior Developer
Overview We are seeking Senior Developers to join our team to work on a project with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). You will be an integral part of our agile development team, utilizing current DevSecOps tools and methodologies. Responsibilities Participate in agile development processes and ceremonies. Develop and maintain web-based software that meets project requirements for code quality and performance. Mentor junior team members while consistently delivering high-quality software. Maintain expected velocity and meet project deadlines. Collaborate with the Product Owner Proxy and Scrum Master to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must have demonstrated education and expertise in Agile development methodology. 5-7 years of experience in software development. Strong skills in: Programming languages: Java, PL/SQL, JSP, HTML/CSS, XML Frameworks: Spring, Struts, Hibernate Development tools: Eclipse, Maven/Ant, Subversion Database systems: Oracle 11g and above Testing tools: Selenium, Jenkins Experience with business rules engines (e.g., Drools) Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Atlassian JIRA, Confluence) Experience with project management and development platforms (e.g., Eclipse, Subversion, Jenkins) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a high-speed, delivery-focused environment. EPA background investigation eligible. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
