The Senior Deconversion Consultant is responsible for the successful deconversion or termination of Defined Benefit and/or Non-Qualified plans acting as the project manager and consultant for assigned plans. The Consultant will also act as the point of contact with Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors and Third-Party Administrators.

 

What you will do

Responsible for the successful deconversion or termination of standard and more complex retirement plans, crossing all segments, within established timelinesPerform weekly conference calls on assigned deconversions or terminations and consults with various client contacts including plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, successor recordkeepers and various internal departments with respect to the timing of deconversions or terminations, outstanding items, critical tasks and overall project managementCoordinate the review of test files (fund level and participant detail) with plan sponsors and successor recordkeepersFacilitate the transfer of plan assets and records though written and verbal communication with successor recordkeepers, client contacts and various internal departmentsProduce quality work on assigned deconversions or terminations through various quality assurance measuresFollow established procedures designed to minimize market risks and gain/loss situationsAssist with training and coaching of new hires and provide manager with progress feedbackSupport peak season volume by taking on additional plan assignments and reassignments upon request

What you will bring

Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent related experience3+ years deconversion/termination or related work experienceDemonstrated knowledge of defined benefit and non-qualified plansDemonstrated knowledge of IRS/DOL reporting knowledgeDemonstrated regulatory compliance and plan document knowledgeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail required

Base Salary Range

$57,300.00 - $81,000.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
