Senior Data Governance Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Senior Data Governance Lead.

Principal responsibilities

Ensure adherence to Data Visa policies and controls that authorizes the cross-border transfer, storage, and exposure of data through Google Cloud Platform. This includes ensuring appropriate sign offs and clear understanding and compliance too all data-restrictions required to meet local legislation or regulation. These restrictions must be formally documented and turned into requirements to ensure Technology build appropriate defenses / solutions to remain compliant. Build a framework that systemically identifies and addresses platform data quality issues. Drive remediation of data quality exceptions in a timely manner. Collaborate, connect with upstream Data Producers and document, track, and eliminate DQ issues and escalate blockers through governance. Ensure all new data values are mapped appropriately and partner closely with the Data Warehouse Product Owner to ensure prioritization of changes to address critical issues and defects. Drive a strategic book of work to address upstream data-quality issues that may require investment and ensure that all self-identified issues are tracked via Non-financial risk stewards Regulatory Reporting: there are a handful of regulatory reports that need to be produced for Regulatory Compliance. The role holder will have global oversight over these reports to ensure a) compliance to procedures b) coverage in the team c) ensure robust sign off controls are adhered to d) identify and address any control related issues e) lead and support auditor review meetings

An understanding of these technologies is preferredAdvanced Excel and Powerpoint skills are desirable
