About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Information Security organization. As a Full Stack Sr Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building security insights to showcase the accomplishments and future goals of our InfoSec organization. Your main focus will be designing and developing a Cybersecurity Risk Perspective that will guide decision-making and drive outcomes. Your contributions will play a crucial role in defending Gartner's network and intellectual properties.

What you will do:

Design and build a scalable Cybersecurity Risk Perspective Reporting Framework. 

Design, develop, and maintain a data pipelines with multiple API integrations to source data from various Security Systems into a Centralized Data Repository. 

Create world-class data visualizations using PowerBI. 

Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring accurate and available data for key stakeholders and business processes

What you will need:

Bachelor's Degree or higher. 

5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Business Intelligence/Data Engineer. 

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in visualizing data using PowerBI. 

Experience with Databricks and building Data Pipeline API Integrations. 

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) 

Expertise with programming languages such as Python or R 

Knowledge of ETL, data modeling and database design principles 

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

Experience with data governance and data security practices

What will make you stand out: 

Experience working in an Information Security organization. 

Experience with Splunk 

Strong eye for User Experience Design. 

Task-oriented with great attention to detail. 

Power Platform Experience (Power BI/Power Automate/Power Apps). 

Data, Agile, Cloud, and/or Security certifications are a plus. 

Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques is a plus 

Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus 

Project Management skills

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 131,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates. We also offer market leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401k match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
