Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.


This position can either be located in Erlangen (Germany), Tarrytown (USA) oder Bengaluru (India).


Your tasks and responsibilities:

You will lead the Design of the Customer Service (CS) Data Architecture for our Business Area Diagnostics while encompassing new technologies and recommend solutions that align with our global data strategyYou will create an optimal Database management strategy, lead a team of SME’s to implement the CS LS management strategyYou will plan and oversee the integration of new data sources and/or data systemsYou will collaborate with our CS Data Governor to implement data standards and governanceYou will ensure the maintenance of the documentation of data models, architectures, standards and processes for future reference and training purposesYou will closely collaborate with the data engineering team to regularly monitor and troubleshoot data system issues

Your qualifications and experience:

You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related field required, advanced degree preferredYou have several years of professional experience in leading large, complex data system strategies and projectsYou have in depth experience with database management and data modeling and designYou are familiar with emerging technologies regarding database management, specifically Azure, Databricks and Snowflake encompassing the integration of GEN AI utilization preferredYou have in profound experience implementing data security and compliance within data systemsYou have a proven track record of being able to translate business needs into data solutions

Your attributes and skills:

You have fluent English language skillsYou have the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersYou have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to efficiently resolve complex data issuesYou have the ability to collaborate across cross functional teams including data scientists, business analysts and front end developersYou are familiar with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) and tools (e.g. Azure DevOPs) to manage and lead data architecture initiatives
