Senior Data Modeler
What We Need: Brady Corporation is seeking a data and analytics expert to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team. Our team is responsible for design, build, and support of enterprise data platforms with data from multiple applications and sources to meet data analytics needs. We partner with Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Operations business users and data scientists to help develop data driven insights and make data driven decisions. The Senior Data Modeler will have the opportunity to work with various data tools and technologies, such as Google Big Query, SQL Server, PowerBI, Google Data Catalog etc. The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative, and a business-focused problem solver who is passionate about working with data and building data analytical solutions that address business needs. What You'll Be Doing: + Data warehouse design and data modeling. Work with Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations team, business users and data scientists to understand data requirements. Map data requirements into data warehouse targets. + Design and implement robust Data Models. Design end-to-end data flows from the source system, through multiple data transformations and to the measures and dimensions needed to answer business questions. + Understand the relationship of the data in the source systems, such as SAP, SalesForce, Google Analytics, etc. Determine optimal data model for analytics needs. Evaluate and implement changes to existing data models to make data consumption and data analysis easier. + Implement data standardization across business units as we continue to add and grow. Provide guidance and support on data structure to achieve future objectives. + Develop and establish a Data Quality framework to improve data quality in partnership with data stewards and data owners. + Manage data catalog. Simplify data definition requests. Enable user self-service data query. + Work collaboratively within an Agile team to meet delivery commitments. #LI-YX1 What You Will Need To Be Successful: + Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field + 5+ years experience as a senior data analyst, or tech lead, or data modeler developing data and analytics solutions + Strong SQL and analytical skills. + Strong skills in data modeling, data warehousing, data quality and experience with large-scale data environments. + Experience with cloud infrastructure. + Experience and proficiency in data technologies and tools. Preference for the following: + Database Platform: Google BigQuery, SQL Server, Amazon RedShift, or Oracle + Data Modeling and Data Catalog tools + Familiar with SAP tables About Us: Who we are:Brady makes products that make the world a safer and more productive place.
