Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Senior Cybersecurity Engineer City Ciudad de Mexico State/Province Distrito Federal Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our infrastructure and data. In this role, you will be responsible for fortifying our IT and OT security landscape, proactively defending against cyber threats, and responding to security incidents with precision. With a primary focus on IT/OT Security Operations, you will help shape a robust cybersecurity ecosystem while collaborating across IT environments as needed to ensure comprehensive protection.

Responsibilities: Design and implement Security Operation Center related cyber security environment to safeguard sensitive data across on-premises and cloud environments.Desing, manage and optimize SIEM/SOAR systems, including use case development, content management, and log source integration.Develop and implement Security Engineering security policies, procedures and standards.Support SecOps incident response activities through threat detection and analysis.Implement and oversee cloud security measures for platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.Provide technical support and mentorship to internal security staff.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure system architecture and compliance. Implement and manage network security measures including perimeter, server, end user as well as 3rd party related security.Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and threats, conduct network security assessments and audits to identify risks and recommend improvements.Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to enhance security posture.Providing off-hour cyber security support as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in IT or OT security or similar positionExperience with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR - endpoint protection, Perimeter - NG Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP and cloud security.Team oriented with effective written and oral communication skills.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Strong analytical skills and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

 

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).Possession of Industry Certifications GCIA, SANS, ICS2, EC-Council, other relevant cyber security certifications.
