**About the role**
The Senior Customer Engagement Analyst (SCEA) supports customer engagement activities for the Trading business in the Americas, including emails, event invitations, webinars, whitepapers, product & services pitch books, websites and other external communication mediums. Aligning with global brand guidelines and regulatory requirements, they navigate a highly matrixed organization to implement impactful activities across commodity benches and provide reporting on these activities.
The Customer Engagement (CE) team sits within the Gas & Power Trading Americas (GPTA) Strategy Implementation & Modernization (SIM) team, which provides a diverse set of critical support activities for the marketing and trading business. GPTA provides products and services to wholesale and retail customers of natural gas, power and structured (financial) products.
As a member of the CE team, the Senior Customer Engagement Analyst (SCEA) is responsible for producing, distributing and reporting customer communication outcomes within a regulated commodities trading organization. They create compelling content and deliver high-quality marketing engagement touch points to support the strategic growth of GPTA.
The SCEA role is a marketing generalist, requiring a unique mix of communication, marketing technology, reporting and project management skills. It provides an opportunity to apply B2B marketing capabilities within a world-class trading organization as we navigate the energy transition.
An ideal candidate will be an effective storyteller with a passion for marketing. They are curious, highly collaborative and able to prioritize work with the support of their line manager. They should build relationships quickly with a diverse group of collaborators to partner and influence successfully within a deeply matrixed organization.

**Key accountabilities**
+ Create, coordinate approval of and distribute compelling marketing content for customer presentations, events, newsletters, websites, white papers, award submissions, etc.
+ Gather related KPIs to demonstrate success of marketing activities; suggest improvements based on findings.
+ Ensure compliance and alignment with regulatory requirements and bp brand guidance in all communication materials.
+ Produce internal training materials to support usage and adoption of digital technology stack for external customer touchpoints
+ Administer/support marcomm tools in partnership with the Technology team and third-party vendors. (e.g. building automated campaign journeys, reviewing release notes to determine implications, recommending UI improvements, administering webinars, etc.)
+ Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders to coordinate marketing activities and identify projects that deliver value to the business; support a center of excellence for customer engagement.
+ Provide occasional marketing/communication expertise to support regular business activities across T&S, including change management activities and other global T&S business units.
+ Act as a digital transformation ambassador; develop technical expertise to help promote adoption of digital marketing tools.
**Essential education**
Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in marketing, communications or related field
**Essential experience requirements**
+ Minimum 5-7 years of relevant marketing/communications experience, including use of digital marketing platforms (DotDigital, HubSpot, Marketing Cloud or similar) and production of B2B go-to-market materials in digital and print form
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a history of using them to influence others
+ Ability to translate complex information into digestible content for a variety of audiences
+ Ability to carefully manage content library and reporting records
+ Exceptional attention to detail
+ Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
+ Familiarity with email marketing best-practices (CAN-SPAM laws, A/B testing, industry open rates, etc.)
+ Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
**Desirable criteria**
+ Graphic design/mastery of general design principles
+ Basic proficiency with HTML, CSS and Power BI
+ Experience in a global, highly matrixed organization
+ Working knowledge of sales enablement platforms (Highspot, Showpad, etc.) and Salesforce Sales Cloud (CRM) campaigns
