Senior Credit Risk Analyst – Securities Based Lending

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst – Securities Based Lending you will be accountable for developing and maintain reporting for a securities-based lending portfolio.  This will require you to understand and recommend data sources, ensure accuracy and completeness of the data and reporting.  The reporting will include insights and tell the story to the report consumer.

What will you do?

Enhancing MIS environment to support active portfolio management which includes, but is not limited to: Loss Forecasting, Consumer ALLL, Policy Exception reporting, performance tracking, stress testing for certain market change scenarios, and Vintage analysis. Add industry and business intelligence to supplement data.Responsible for providing reporting, statistical trends and analysis for Risk Management, Finance and/or the business.Identifies performance trends and recommends initiatives to address weaknesses and leverage opportunities.Execute deep dive analytics for areas within the dashboard or daily results relative to plan, forecast or targets.Support the “storytelling” to ensure insights are delivered in a meaningful and relevant manner to key partners and stakeholders.Promote analytics across the enterprise to enable RBC to become a data-driven organization.Provide recommendations on improving data environment to ensure adequate Risk oversight.Maintain understanding of data environment including the lineage, accuracy and completeness of the data.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

6+ years of relevant progressive analytics experience, preferably within the financial industry and/or relevant line of businessBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education and experienceExperience in Risk Management (ALLL), Product, Business Intelligence, and/or Marketing data analytics and mining.Deep data mining and technical skills and experience translating data into consumable messages.Superior and proven experience in the application of experimental design and statistical analysis of results coupled with strong understanding of technical skills in SAS, SQL, or Teradata

Nice-to-have

Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing, and risk management is preferred.Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning or Computer Science
