Senior Cost Manager
**Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior** **Cost Manager** to join our team! In this role you will get to **perform pre and post contracts tasks and estimating activities​.** This role will be located in **Abu Dhabi.** **What You'll Be Doing:** + Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the projects. + Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings. + Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the projects. + Finalize the monthly payment certificates. + Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order. + Advise and hands on with measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities. + Evaluate the unit rates for new work items. + Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process; + Lead in the preparation of variation orders. + Lead in the evaluation of claims. + Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues. + Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements. + Prepare financial statements for monthly report. + Audit payments. + Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations. + Check and record measurements of completed work. + Monitor contracts final cost estimates. + Maintain expenditure records. + Coordinate and monitor activities of his team. + Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience). + Mandatory 10+ years post graduate demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying. + Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills. + Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader. + Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and familiarity with typical project controls software. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) orChartered Institute of Arbitrators(CIArb) will be an added advantage. + 10+ years of related work experience in Buildings and Educational Facilities projects is preferred. + Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required. **Minimum Clearance Required to Start:** Not Applicable/None Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
