Job Description

Looking for an experienced senior copywriter to join the creative team in a fast-paced marketing agency, which specialises in Direct Marketing, CRM, and Loyalty.

In this role, you will report directly to the Creative Director and also be responsible for mentoring junior writers to help them develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Creative Director to develop and execute creative concepts that meet client objectives and drive business results.Develop and write compelling copy for a range of advertising and marketing materials, including but not limited to headlines, taglines, body copy, scripts, and social media content.Collaborate with art directors, designers, and other members of the creative team to ensure that copy and visuals work together seamlessly to create powerful advertising campaigns.Attend and contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh ideas, concepts, insights to the table.Present creative work to clients and stakeholders, articulating the thinking and strategy behind each concept.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior writers, offering constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills and abilities.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our work remains fresh, innovative, and effective.Have a pro-active mindset to identify opportunities within each brief to develop work that’s clutter-breaking and possibly award-winning.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling copy that resonates with audiences.Demonstrated ability to generate big ideas and think conceptually.Experience presenting work to clients and stakeholders.A passion for mentoring and developing junior writers.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

Qualifications

 

You must have 4-6 years’ experience as a copywriter within a large agency Excellent written and verbal communication skillsComfortable writing across a variety of different channels, including email, social media, website, print and more (long-form copy experience, especially in direct marketing and CRM a big plus)Able to craft and quickly turnaround compelling and error-free copyExcellent grammar and a stickler for detail – must be able and willing to proofread your copy and othersMust be willing to review copy from junior writersMust be comfortable presenting your workMust have conceptual abilityMust have organisational skillsAble to connect and work collaboratively, as well as on your own to meet deadlines
