Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Controls Engineer to join our team, a leading company in the automotive industry. This is a full-time, second-shift role, ideal for a candidate with strong automation expertise, particularly with Fanuc robotics and PLC systems. The Sr. Controls Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated systems, while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5-6 years of solid experience working with Fanuc robots in an industrial automation environment.
• Heavy industrial experience, specifically in the automotive industry, is a must.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex control systems, with experience in automation, robotics, and system integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage downtime effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to both quiet and fast-paced work environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
• Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or related industries.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines during machine downtimes.
• Proficiency in programming and maintaining robotic systems, particularly Fanuc robots.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with Company contribution match, and 14 paid holidays, including a bridge holiday in December.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Chicago,IL.
