HDR is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Manager to work on a major Construction Program for our client in Pompano Beach, Florida.The vision for this role is to provide materials leadership for the consistent, efficient, and effective delivery of the program of projects through a team-based structure.
We will count on you to:
Lead and develop the team within the materials department work unitsFocus on the Material's Department’s mission and objectives outlined in the business plan or strategic focused areasActively evaluate the project/process personel performance, make or recommend improvements to optimize the delivery and improve resultsApply engineering principles and approaches to determine :o The in-place conditions and the root causes of those conditions
o The best application of materials for a given need
o Propose cost-effective solutions if necessary or required by the customers.
Specify performance and materials properties requirements as requested, and analyze data to determine complianceTake timely action to correct any errors in the dataActively facilitate the notifications of the stakeholders of any errors, failures or negative trends#LI-CA1
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction related10 or more years of relevant experience highly desiredHighway construction materials background highly desiredPE or CCMPrior experience with FDOT or Florida TurnpikePrevious experience managing a mid-size teamRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceA minimum of 7 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
